Make Article Writing A Piece Of Cake - Step By Step How To Become An Article Marketing Warrior

The desire to earn some good amounts of money is one that is usually fueled by the presence of several pressing financial needs. Article writing and marketing is one of the top ways of earning off the Internet and easily meeting all your financial needs. To become an effective article marketing warrior you have to follow a certain set of steps that will take you to the top.

Step 1: Pick an area of interest

When you are starting out with article marketing it is important to go about the practice by looking at the areas that interest you. The purpose for this is that in case you are doing article writing then you will be able to come up with different topics to write about that actually interest you. Writing on topics that do not interest you is as useless as filling a basket with water. Therefore choose an area of interest and concentrate on it.

Step 2: Do It Over and Over

Persistence and consistency are very important virtues when it comes to article marketing. For article writing when you start to carry out the trade you will have to do it over and over again. The fact is that when you begin your article marketing venture the success only begins to be realized after you have been at it for some time. This simply means that you have to be as persistent as possible. Make sure that you are consistent with the practice because it will give you more practice and it will expose you to better opportunities.

Step 3: Use the right Tools

For many people the word success simply means momentary profits. If however you would like to have profits that you enjoy over and over then you will need to use the right tools. There are several websites that promise huge amounts of money for some article writing ventures and for certain article marketing opportunities. Always bear in mind the fact that nothing good comes easy. This is why you have to be careful about the tools that you eventually decide to use. Take some time and do some research so that you can compare the different tools to have the best options at your finger tips.

Step 4: Be Creative

Creativity is one of the important steps when it comes to anything that has to do with earning money on the Internet. With article writing it is important to realize that many other people are doing the same thing too. Therefore try to outdo the competition by coming up with creative ventures that the rest of the people do not have. This will also help you to stay ahead of everyone else.

How To Get The Most From Your Article Marketing?

Marketing is a well established method for getting traffic to your site. It is still proven to be one of the best methods today for building back links to to your site to get high rankings in the search engines.

So let's say that an article for distribution on the net is optimized for the keyword you are trying to rank your own site for, gets picked up by some high quality websites that have a high PR. Now you have just created very strong competition for yourself. One that you may not even be able to compete with as they are well established, let alone get the #1 ranking for!

A page on those sites is now also d for that same keyword. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying you should not be targeting the 'longer-tail keywords' you have found from the keyword research, but just not the ones you have optimized a page for on your own site. It is my belief that there is only one effective way that article marketing should be done to get the most benefits...

The Most Effective Article Marketing Strategy

When I start a campaign for marketing with articles it is for the purpose of building back links to one or more of my website pages. This is to get those pages to rank well in the search engines. First I will write the content and a title, WITHOUT the keyword I have one of my money pages optimized for. Then the articles will be submitted to article directories and blog networks.

When those articles are well written and provide some quality content then something really amazing will happen. A lot of website owners will want to publish that article also on their site...Bammm, you suddenly start to get more back links without doing any extra work. On the other hand when that site is well established with lots of readers you have a high change of direct visitors to your own website from that same article.

Just write your content first and then think of a compelling title WITHOUT worrying about what keyword to use. The title is what gets people to read your article, so just write what you think.

Of course there is the well-known strategy of keyword optimizing the articles for distribution. This is done to be able to 'dominate the first page of Google', but I am not interested in those little spammy sites that will only last on page one for a few weeks. Unless you spend a lot of time to write articles for all those little web 2.0 sites on an ongoing basis to keep them on page 1.

Personally I prefer to write some good quality articles, without worrying too much about keywords, that are being distributed and then picked up by other webmasters. This way I have my own website pages ranking on position #1 in Google in no time. And it takes a lot less of your time too.

Instantly Overcome Writer's Block When You Are Writing For The Web

It's very easy to get stuck no matter how good of a writer you are and when you are about to write that latest blog post, article, report, book, or even forum posts it is easy to get stuck. But getting stuck doesn't help you. You are the most productive when you get a task done and it's done forever.

That is why to conquer Writer's Block you need to get over "blank page syndrome", you need to get excited about what you are writing, and you should write quickly exactly the way you talk.

One of the worst things you can look at when you are already stuck about what to write is staring at a black page.

Let's say you are sitting down and you wanted to put together a simple step by step guide on how to set up an email auto-responder sequence, and you look at a blank page and you have no idea where to start. That is why it's important to put something on that blank page.

I know of people who simply start typing whatever it is they begin thinking, even if it's gibberish, even if it's just the exact words that come into their head.

I know of other people who will type the outline or the thoughts, or at least the title of the article they are writing on the page so at least they are not looking at that blank page.

As soon as you put some words on your page, you are at least the first step forward to getting over that Writer's Block.

How do you start writing and keep writing?

The answer to that is simple, it's easy to write about things that you are excited about, so find some way to get excited about what your topic is. If we were talking about setting up an email auto-responder account, log into your own auto-responder and see how things are going. View some videos on YouTube and see what other people have been doing with their auto-responders, and even talk to someone about this idea you have that you are about to share about email auto-responders.

I deal with so many people who tell me that they can't write a simple article but they can talk your ear off for two, three, even four hours on end about some silly idea. If you get excited, it's easy to write something.

Finally, to make sure that you write that article or chapter to completion, write quickly and write exactly the way you talk. I know that school may have taught you to use big, fancy words, and aerobatic language but really you are going to have the easiest time writing if you write in short simple sentences, and use short words, and type exactly the way that you talk.

If you need to dictate your article, or learn how to type faster in order to type so fast you don't have time to think that is fine, but get in the habit of making your first draft your final draft and not editing any sentences.

Your writing doesn't have to be perfect, it just has to make sense.

Overcome Writer's Block for the web, put something on your blank page so you overcome "blank page syndrome", get excited about your topic, and write quickly the exact same way you talk.

Follow Up Or Multi-Part Content Versus Stand Alone Content

When you sit down to write your latest article, blog post or report it's very tempting to add multi-part or multi-volume information.

For example, if you explain a complex step by step process such as setting up a website, you might write one article about getting a web host, one article about registering a domain name, one article about setting up a blog. These are all separate articles.

When you are limited to such a short length, you're choices are either to cram all the information into one article and then not have much to say, really only have an overview or, split up your content into multiple parts.

I am here to tell you that you need to write as if you are writing stand alone information, and that means that if you write about setting up a WordPress blog you assume someone has gone through the earlier steps without directly referencing them.

This makes it easier for you to reuse your content and when you put these together as auto-responder emails they are very easy to connect.

What you can do as well is then place these separate articles into a report and add a few sentences here and there referencing the earlier chapters so it all becomes on cohesive guide.

This might have seemed confusing, but when you first write content you should write it all so it stands alone.

There are many reasons for this. First of all, if someone comes to a blog post and you have titled it Part 3 of 6, they are either going to click over to Part 1 or give up in frustration.

You want someone who arrives on your site to begin reading immediately. In addition, many sites that accept articles and guest blog posts do not want you to have multi-part content for the same reason because what if you posted Part 3 of something on their site and Part 1 of something on your site. Now it becomes very confusing for the reader and they won't find the information they need.

Make your articles stand alone on their own.

Then what you do is if you have some kind of an email newsletter you can easily add a sentence or two at the top or at the bottom bridging the gap between the individual lessons. Here is what I mean, I mean you might have that multi-part course on which steps someone should take to set up a website, and they join your email newsletter, and get the edition about getting a domain name. At the end you stay tuned tomorrow because I will be sending you a message on how to get a web host. In the next email you say yesterday you learned about getting a domain name, today you will learn about web hosting and at the end of that email, you say tomorrow we will talk about a WordPress blog.

Now when you have these bridges in the content in your emails, it makes for a very nice little report and what you can do in that report is link to the various resources and even link back to chapters. For example, at the start of the blog chapter, you can link back to the chapter about getting a domain name.

The important thing is when you put content out in the wild for free to be syndicated on other sites, make is stand alone and then it is much easier to entangle the content once you use in your email auto-responder list and put it together in your report.

Find out everything you need to know about making a PDF report, setting up a download page, installing a membership site, and even making an email auto-responder follow up sequence at http://www.newbiecrusher.com.

What Content And How Often To Post That Content To The Web

If you want any amount of traffic or credibility on the internet you need to have lots of content spread out across various sites. The good news is there are plenty of sites who are eager, in fact begging, for you to post your articles, blog posts and thoughts, and you can easily set up your own sites to hold your content.

You need to consistently be making forum posts, blog posts, and write auto-responder emails to guarantee you get consistent traffic.

A very easy place for you to speak your mind about any topic is on what's called a Message Board, Discussion Board, or a Forum. Sure, there are groups and there are areas on sites like Facebook to discuss a particular topic, but there have always been complete sites dedicated to one singular topic. Anything from teaching your parrot how to talk to how to lose weight to dog obedience.

There are discussion boards around any subject and all you have to do is do a Google search for the name of your niche, and the word "forum".

Look at a few results in the first page and see which of these sites get posted to over and over. These are the sites where you should hang out, and establish yourself as a credible source in this field. You do this for two reasons. First, you get back links, you get links back to your site from your forum posts and you are getting your name out there so if you put out a book about how to train your dog and someone searched your name they see you have posted all over these sites.

You also want people to come back to your site, right. That is why you should reserve your best content for your blog. There is nothing wrong with you answering a forum post and maybe giving the short response on the forum, but then providing the longer response on your own site in a well-thoughtout blog post. This way people can see your replies on forums and if they like what you are all about, if they like your advice, and they like you they will click over to your blog, read it, and view your content there.

What is the point of getting someone over to your site?

You want to add them to your following or your email list. That is why you should get yourself an email auto-responder. You can get a free one at MailChimp.com, and a paid one at Aweber.com.

What you can do now is add a newsletter sign up form to your blog, and when someone likes the blog posts you make they can sign up for your list and get notified about new blog posts you make.

The final type of writing you should make are these reminders, these auto-responder emails that every few days simply send people back to your site. You might send them back to comment on an old blog post, a new blog post, or just click on any link that you happen to have for them which may include an affiliate link or a link to one of your products.

Those are the reasons why you should consistently post content to the web, so that people can find you and recognize you as an expert on a forum, click over to your blog and get more information, and finally sign up to your email newsletter to get regular updates.

Set up your entire blog, auto-responder, and traffic funnel using the training available at http://www.newbiecrusher.com.

How To Make Money Running An Article Directory

Article directories are very popular websites, as they are one of the most useful and wide-reaching. They generate traffic practically automatically. Because of this popularity, they are very profitable to make money with for the long-term.

There are a lot of very different strategies for making money with an article directory website. A very common and effective one is using affiliate advertising on your site. Add advertisements around the edges of all your articles, and you are an affiliate. Affiliate advertisers get paid on a commission basis for each advertisement that is clicked. There are some very good affiliate programs that are quick and easy to use, such as Google AdSense. These programs are automated and simple, and highly efficient.

There are a lot of other ways of making money running an article directory. Some websites make users pay for an account, while others let users pay to upgrade their account to receive special benefits. Both of these are legitimate strategies and could be used. Of course, using these makes it difficult to keep traffic flowing through your site, due to the fact that most people simply won't pay for information they could get elsewhere. Making the bonuses received when a user pays more appealing could be a good way to make this strategy work.

To make money when you are actually running the article directory takes some amount of dedication to get things going. So many businesses can't manage to get past those early stages, where all the real problems present themselves. Once these initial problems are overcome, though, things become a lot easier.

The first problem to pose itself to the owner of an article directory is getting content for their site. Since the whole purpose of an article directory is to have a large amount of information on-call, this is rather a big task, and without good content, there will be no traffic, and therefore no money coming in.

To get over this hurdle, it is a worthwhile investment to hire a few paid writers to write quality content for your directory. The higher quality content, the better, and it's worth forking out a bit more money. Good quality writing will continue to get traffic, where the cheaper content will get traffic for a few days, then flop. Also consider hiring people who are able to write search engine optimized content, as this will also assist in bringing in more traffic.

You could also go a different way, and have all users able to post their content on the website and get paid for advertising on their articles. This brings up the problem of needing to moderate content for quality and accuracy, and it will be necessary to hire some moderators when doing this. Still, it does eliminate the need to hire writers.

There is any number of ways you can go about making money with an article directory site, with a little thought and creativity. And once it's up and running with an effective strategy in place, it's smooth sailing from there.

1. Getting started is easy and you don't need any special education to be an article marketer.

It just takes a little bit of practice to learn the basics. Also, on the internet you can find lots of tips for article writing as well as e-books and articles written about how to do article marketing the right way.

2. It does not take long once you get the hang of it. In fact you can write an article in less than 30 minutes on just about any subject.

You will find you can write articles much quicker if you choose to run an Internet business in a niche that you have a good knowledge of. You'll find that after a while you will develop a system that works for you and writing articles regularly is not hard to do.

3. It is easy to submit articles. Submitting an article to an article directory only takes a few minutes.

If your budget allows use an article submission service such as Submit Your Article. With the click of one button you can submit your article to multiple article directories.

4. Articles make excellent content. Maximizing the use of one article is one of the real tricks of article marketing.

Writing articles costs nothing. Submitting articles also is free of cost. However, if you choose to automate the process you can use a submission service for less than $50 a month.

Also blogging is free if you choose to use articles that way. You can start a blog at blogger.com which costs absolutely nothing. If you elect to host your own blog it only costs about $10 a month and a domain name costs about $12 a year.

3 Primary Objectives of Content Marketing

The main intent of content marketing is to capture the attention of others with useful information you have published! It is NOT to contain sales tactics but rather to present something interesting to read for viewers. Of course you want to be sure the reading material you present has relevance to your niche since 'ultimately' you are trying to increase traffic to your site! It is important to realize your best results with this approach occurs by refraining from actively selling anything, but merely offering free and useful information!

Here are the 3 primary objectives you are trying to accomplish when publishing content freely in order to ultimately increase traffic to your business!

Capture Reader Interest

First and foremost is that whatever you are publishing needs to be interesting to read from the standpoint of your target audience! You must capture their attention and offer them some useful information that is relevant to both their interests and of course yours is the starting point! Remember you are not trying to sell them anything but simply give them some of use!

Build Exposure

In much the same way as it goes with blogging you need to fill the pipeline with content you have created. The more you publish the greater your saturation and as this builds so will your exposure! Once again the key is to continue 'churning' out material people find interesting to read since the more you do, the more they will be looking for from you. At this point you are now beginning to develop a following which is something you can build on but your continued efforts are required to do so!

Develop Loyalty

Hopefully the useful information you have been circulating online has not only gained the attention but also the appreciation of viewers. They will now tend to 'assign' to you a certain aura of authority relative to the subject matter you have been publishing. At this point many will be visiting your site in search of more information of equal relevance! This is exactly what you have been wanting since the bottom line is the purpose of this strategy is to increase traffic. With the loyalty and trust people feel towards you for supplying them the content you already have they will be more receptive to your sales copy!

Content marketing is more about simply gaining the attention of others by supplying useful information than it is about selling. This approach is a tactful way of presenting something interesting to read to your targeted audience in an effort to increase traffic to your site! This process is not meant to blatantly promote any goods or services you have to offer but simply draw an interest to who you are and what you are all about! By focusing on the 3 objectives discussed above and avoiding hard pressure sales tactics this strategy should prove to be a very effective way to increase traffic to your site!

Quick Tips for Better Article Marketing

Article marketing can provide tremendous benefits for your business, but as with all marketing efforts, your articles should be optimized to take advantage of the unique medium the internet provides to meet your specific business goals.

Your articles should be carefully crafted to provide valuable content to your potential clients. And beyond this critical baseline, consider the following tips for making your articles rank well and provide the traffic you want and need.

1. Target your articles with the keywords and phrases your audience is looking for. When you are trying to rank for a particular keyword you will want that keyword in a prominent position like the headline. There's also search value in having it in bold and/or shown as a link.

2. Spend time creating a eye-catching headline. Craft email headlines that demand to be clicked for more ideas about this subject.

3. Know what specific problems your product or service solves. Rather than simply writing in order to publish, you want to create content that meets your potential customer's needs.

4. Use your resource box to build an email list. Most article directories will allow you to provide only one or two links back to your site. Create a valuable incentive (offer a free trial, discount, etc.) and use this link to convert your reader to an email list. That way you can continue to get your brand in front of them.

5. Employ bullet points and numbered lists. These kinds of lists make your content easier to take in quickly, and search engines like them as well.

6. Don't forget your call to action (CTA)! You want your readers to act so don't let them leave without telling them what you want them to do. A good place for your CTA is the resource box, but your entire article should lead up to your call.

7. Promote your articles. Don't forget to share your articles. Send them out in newsletters, on your social profiles, and your blog. The more you can get the links to your content out, the higher your click and read rates will be and the better your conversion rate will be.

8. Collect your articles for an ebook. After you write and publish a good set of articles in a narrow interest area, you can take the content you've created and put it together into an ebook for people to download. Offer your ebook as an incentive for signing up for your email list, and keep offering value.

Adapting Technology to Article Marketing for Your Online Business

Back in the day writing was simply a matter of having a pen, piece of paper, and an idea. Usually, at least for formal writing, there would be a series of revisions before you could call your work finished.

Then came typewriters and correction tape - easier but still time-consuming and often difficult to produce a readable final copy. IF you needed several copies we had carbon paper. You could usually get 3 readable copies on an old manual typewriter. Then someone added a cord and the electric version arrived allowing you to get 4 copies using onion skin paper for the copies. WOW!

Nope, there was no copy machine, YET. But eventually someone figured out that you could make a photographic copy of a document and print the photo. Yes, the photo-copy machine. The life of the secretary just moved into the future. No more black fingers from the carbon paper, or spilling liquid paper all over your desk. Yeah. Now we had more time to work more.

But there were also some drawbacks to these marvelous new machines like having to constantly fix a paper jam or replace messy toner containers. And when the fancy-dancy machines went 'down' the wait was sometimes days until the technician came to repair the monstrosity. Ah, technology. Wasn't it wonderful.

Now, as a writer, and one time secretary, I could think more about the words I wanted to share than the way I needed to struggle through sharing them. The digital age was here. Instant spell check, copy and paste, highlight and move. All the wonderful advancements made possible by all those '0's and 1's. But, this article was started using old-fashioned pen and paper. Something I still tend to fall back on. Sometimes old habits die hard and I tend to rough out my ideas on paper, wherever I happen to be.

But all this still leads to the point that writing is a process. Even in the age of computers, there is a process of creation that every writer must follow in some respect. An idea is born. It is noted, on paper or on a computer screen. It is revised, elaborated on, twisted and spun to create something the writer believes is worthy to share with others.

With a lot of practice I have learned to do this 'on the fly' so to speak. I can type almost as fast as the thoughts fly through my brain. I can quickly write something that is virtually complete. I mean it is something that needs little or no revisions. But that is from years of writing experience. This is probably not you.

I began this paper in response to someone yet again telling me they cannot write. I looked and noticed both of this person's hands seemed perfectly capable of using a pen or typing on a keypad. So, I asked the person to 'tell me' what he wanted to write about, if he could write of course, and he went on for some time about what he wanted to tell the world. My response.

Write that down! Yes, just like you told me. Type it out in a document program, run a spell check, and publish it. You see, each and every one of us has ideas and feelings about the world we live and work in. Each and every one of those ideas have validity, simply because they are ours. They belong to a thinking person who wants to share with others.

What Is All the Hoopla About Blogs?

Even though blogs are fast becoming the norm, there are still many who haven't taken the plunge. In fact, I recently met a gentleman by the name of Bill who was quite perplexed by the whole idea of needing a blog.

"What is all the hoopla about blogs? Seriously, I don't get it. A blog is just a website. What purpose does it really serve?" asked Bill.

Bill was right about one thing... blogs are just another form of a website. But blogs are also so much more than websites.

Blogs are fun. Blogs are personable. Blogs are viral. Blogs give back. Blogs keep you in touch with fans and potential editors and/or clients. And most importantly, blogs get picked up faster in the search engines.

A blog can serve many purposes; the key is to decide what your blog is going to do for you and your business and then set out to make your blog accomplish those goals.

Will it promote a product?
One gal I know writes 250 word blurbs related to a book she wrote, then links to what others are saying on that topic-one link per post-, ending with a four sentence pitch to buy her book.

Another gal I know posts a new painting every day, with a link to her eBay store while another gal I know posts helpful information on "art licensing" with a call to action to buy her book on the same subject.

I even know a gal who simply gives a 250 word blurb every day letting fans know what she's up to. She tells them where she'll be featured (t.v., radio, Internet, print), where she'll be teaching (workshops, seminars), what's in her new product line, and what she currently has up for sale (etsy, ebay, personal website).

Will it educate your readers?
My DM Speaks blog (thedabblingmum.blogspot.com) used to give back to the blogging community. I would answer questions often posed to me via email, forums, and chats.

Today it's a completely different kind of blog. Today, I use DM Speaks to both educate and entertain readers, while helping to promote indie musicians, book authors, up-and-coming artists, and small businesses. I share question and answer interviews, reviews, movie stills, and video clips.

Will it be a place to connect with fans?
Do you have a career that isn't reliant upon your constant pitching of a product of service? i.e. Are you a musician, actor, or writer who has a publicist to do all the grunt work? Then a more personal blog may be just what you need to connect with your fan. Just remember to be careful in what you share. Certain things should always remain private... and name dropping can become a bore real fast. Offer substance, be true to yourself and your fans, and your fan base will surely grow.

Will it lead to new business?
It can. I've met many people over the years who've been rewarded with writing assignments, licensing contracts, and sales because of their blogs.

A few years ago, I received two regular writing assignments because of a personal blog I had. One was a quarterly column in a parenting publication. The other was to edit the notes an editor took during interviews and turn them into readable articles.

And prior to that, I had received a temporary blogging gig to help a company build a following regarding a new product, and another gig to help company to jumpstart their blog, until the in-house person responsible for the blog could take over.

Blogging takes time to work, however. You must build a resource first, then you build relationships through your readers.

How to Get Targeted Traffic to Your Website for Free

If you write a blog, or have a website than you are probably looking to get more traffic to your site. More visitors to your site means more people who learn about your product or service, which in turn means more sales. There are several things you can do to drive traffic to your website for free.

A great way for you to get targeted traffic to your blog is by spending time where your audience spends time. If for example, you run a dog training business, you will want to participate in dog training forums online. Most forums allow you to have a signature line where you list your website. By giving advice and adding value to the community your audience will see you as an expert in your market and in turn they will visit your website. Social media websites are another great venue for you to participate in. Sites such as Facebook and LinkedIn have various groups and communities focused on a variety of niche interests. Participate and communicate with your audience for free and drive targeted traffic to you website. Remember to add value, and not overly self promote to gain credibility with your market.

Another way for you to be seen as an expert in your niche is by writing articles. By writing articles that provide valuable, interesting information to your target market, you gain credibility and are seen as an expert by your audience. Writing articles and submitting them to article directories online allow you to drive free traffic to your website. Article directory websites allow you to link back to your site in exchange for the original content you provide to their website. Links back to your site build credibility with search engines as well. By writing articles you gain credibility, back-links to your site, as well as free targeted traffic.

There are many ways to drive traffic to your website. There are paid ways, such as Google AdWords, and free ways. Most people prefer driving traffic for free, however it does take some work. Connect with your audience by spending time where they spend time. Provide value added advice, and information to drive traffic to your site. Writing articles can also drive a lot of traffic back your blog or site. Not only can you get traffic from article directories, but also when others see your articles they can also publish them, all with links back to your site. While driving free traffic takes effort and time, it is a worthwhile investment to drive long term targeted traffic to your website.

Learn How To Profit With Article Marketing

Marketing is the lifeblood of every business and this is the first task of every business manager. Marketing brings together the various functions of the business and blends them together to produce a saleable product or service. As customers, we are presented with marketing in the form of advertising, promotion and other sales activities. Marketing brings business products to the marketplace - where customers exist and opportunities thrive.

Article marketing has many benefits and this is probably because of the countless possibilities and opportunities. The greatest thing about article marketing is that it is the easiest and fastest way to promote your site. Most importantly, it is also free of charge!

Another benefit of article marketing is that it gives you instant exposure. Have you heard of stories where a song or a book gets that instant success overnight? Well, this is also true with article writing which can bring direct and instant exposure.

Article marketing is also 100% efficient and this technique is definitely part of a winning strategy. As with all marketing, once the initial effort is made, all you have to do is watch and see your website get passive promotion! This translates to more visitors which equals cash!

This is how to profit with article marketing:

1. Firstly, write a 1,000+ word article or a review about your brand, in your case - your website, what you are selling or what you are about. For example, if your site is about Internet Marketing, you may want to make an article about clickbank affiliate programs.

2. Then post your article to popular article directories in the internet.

The top directory is ezine articles. Post it there first and have it published. Ezine Articles hosts thousands of articles that are categorized into many sections. You may check their site for further details.

3. Perhaps the most important reason for writing and posting articles is completing the resource box. Here is your chance to have 1,000s of people click on your link to your website or affiliate links. You may want to add a link that simply says "for more resources or for more information, please visit my site" or "Search Engine Optimization Blog Review" which is masking your website or affiliate link.

There are other major article directories out there. Remember that webmasters are always looking for fresh content for their sites and if they use your article then they must use it with your resource link intact. Can you begin to imagine the true benefits of article marketing?

First and foremost, at Search Engine Optimization Blog Review, we are trainers and training providers.

Exact Impact of Article Marketing on Your Sales

Does article marketing work? And if it does what kind of impact should you expect? What kind of sales will you end up making?

These are the most common questions I receive from anxious new clients.

As the world continues to slowly but surely enter into serious recession, people have naturally become much more attached to the contents of their wallets. And so folks unfamiliar with the usefulness of article marketing want to be sure that it actually works. And it is not enough to just say it works. I believe it is more useful to go beyond that and demonstrate exactly how it works.

Let us keep this very simple. Forget all those complex and confusing pieces of advice flying at you from all directions on the net. Let's just get back to the basics. The truth in business is that if you do not have your numbers correct, you'll go nowhere.

Whatever it is that you are selling online, there is a simple truism. You will need to get your offer in front of enough people to be able to make a single sale. Once you know your conversion rate (that is how many people you need to put the message in front of to make a single sale) it is simple enough to calculate how many people need to see your message for you to achieve the kind of sales and profits you want to make with that particular online product or service. For instance if out of every 10 people who visit your landing page, one ends up making a purchase, then it means your conversion rate is 10%. And so to be able to make 10 sales you need 100 prospects.

That's how simple it should be. A business venture starts with the setting of goals. What do you want to achieve? How much money do you want to generate? What kind of profit do you want? When you answer these questions, all the rest of your article marketing business plans will fall into place.

In a world continually flooded by advertisements which most people have learnt to ignore or look down on cynically, articles are bound to give you much better results than advertisements. Especially if the articles you are using to sell, have valuable information for your target market.

So let's go back to our calculations. If you do a single useful article with plenty of useful content and tips for your target market and post it to a few high traffic article directories with a link pointing back to your sales landing page you will get quality traffic on your sales page. The more targeted your traffic is, the higher the conversion rate. This is one very good reason why general articles are useless in article marketing. What you must do is target a very small niche of your market in each article you generate in your article marketing campaign.

Let's say you did 25 quality articles and posted them at 3 top article directories (like I usually do), you will find that after a very short while a search in Google using your article title will show you that your most useful articles will have gone viral being re-posted a few more times all over the web. Sadly not every article will have a link pointing back to your site, but the good news is that most will.

25 articles will result in about 250 articles out there with links pointing back to your landing page. My disclaimer is that it really depends very much with which industry we are talking about and how competitive the situation is sometimes this figure will be slightly lower and on other occasions higher. In most cases each of these articles will get at least one person reading them and out of the 250 individuals about 50 will click through to your site each week and from there it is up to you and the selling ability of your website (i.e. how good your landing page is and how attractive your offer is) to determine how many of the 50 you will be able to convert into actual paying customers.

Amazingly you can actually increase the conversion rate dramatically by capturing the email addresses of this entire valuable traffic landing on your site. This is usually done by offering a valuable free report which people will have to sign up for. Using an auto responder you can send regular relevant messages to these prospects. There is no way you will go wrong with this strategy and I guarantee that you will be able to eventually convert a huge percentage of these people into your customers. You just need to be patient and realize that folks will buy only when they are ready to buy.

That is exactly how you get to maximize on the effect of article marketing.

Five Powerful Article Marketing Tips

When I began my journey as an online marketer, I learned from several mentors the great importance of article marketing in your business plan. The ability to share value with others, speak with my target market directly, and gain exposure for my business sounded very attractive to me. So, I dove in and began sharing what I have been learning about online marketing through articles.

Through trial and error, I have found that there are five key article marketing tips to keep in mind when devising your article marketing plan.

1. SHARING VALUE - Your article must contain value for your target market. Lets assume that your market needs to learn about the specific advantages of several WordPress plugins. You could write an article on not only how to install the plugin, but also how to edit it, and how to utilize it to the maximum for best results. You could also give examples of the results you have received by using the particular plugin. I know I love to read about specific case studies of how a certain technique has helped an individual.

2. BULLET POINTS - I know that I really appreciate information being broken down into digestible chunks. In other words, the simpler, the better. When learning about a new technique, if it is presented in a cryptic manner that takes a while to work through, I will move on to another technique, and will most likely be missing out on some valuable information. Since we are trying to provide value to our audience, keep it short and easy to read.

3. LINK TO YOUR ARTICLE - Once you have posted your article, its a good idea to post links to your masterpiece. Three services that I find valuable are Ping.fm, Pingler.com and Linklicious.me. These are all Free and Very effective in creating backlinks to your content.

4. CROSS REFERENCE YOUR ARTICLES - When composing your article, it is beneficial to you and your reader to provide links to other related articles you have written. For example, if you are writing about how to set up a WordPress blog, you could insert a link to a recent article you wrote about effective WordPress themes for different types of businesses. This helps your reader gain more breadth of knowledge on the subject of blogs and this helps you with backlinks to your content.

5. USE AN AUTORESPONDER - When someone gains value from your article and enjoys your writing style, they will be eager to read more of your work. If you have a link in your author resource box to a website (like your personal blog) that has your opt-in box linked to your autoresponder, the reader may easily sign up to receive more information from you. This is a great first step in building a solid relationship with your readers.

Article Marketing is powerful and can substantially improve your online presence. Your content will be on the web for many years to come and can be a very effective way of drawing interest to your business. Hopefully these article marketing tips will help you on your journey. Now, get out there, share great value, and start to build lasting relationships.

How to Conduct Article Marketing Research for Your Business

In article marketing, the writing can be hard but it's the research that can really drag you down. Coming up with unique article topics that people actually want to read isn't easy for many of us.

So how can you find some winning ideas? Here are six sure-fire ways that will get your creative juices flowing and set you on your way to creating plenty of amazing articles for your article marketing campaign.

Check out what your competitors are doing

Directories are full of articles that cover a wide array of topics, and chances are that there are plenty that cover your own niche topics as well. You can look to see what others are writing about to help boost your own creative process.

Let's say you are a beautician looking to broaden her client base. You can find articles about homemade beauty treatments, the latest hair treatments and trends, and any make up tips and techniques. Reading through another person's article topics can help shake loose some ideas in your head.

Remember: there is a big difference between snooping and stealing, so don't let yourself be tempted to plagiarize another author's work. Instead, compile a list of ideas that you get by scrolling through article headlines and create your own unique pieces based on those list items.

Visit Q&A Sites

There are sites, like Yahoo Answers, that allow users to post open questions for others to answer. You can type your keywords into the search bar and a list of questions that include your keywords will be brought up.

For example, if you type in the keyword "Make-up," you'll see questions like: What are some make-up tips for someone with a round face? What brushes are used for what make-up? What make-up looks good for dark eyes?

There is a wealth of potential articles available when you get to see what kinds of information people are seeking.

Look in Forums

There are forums on the web that cover almost any topic you can think of, so if you just do a simple search for one, like "beauty forum," you'll find plenty of ongoing discussions. Forums are a great place for people to go in search of answers.

Flip Through Industry Magazines

You can do this online as well. There are plenty of magazines out there that cover topics of all types. You can see what topics they are covering in their current issues, find out what people are reading by seeing what is being "Liked" and "Tweeted" by readers.

Find an "Idiots Guide"

The Idiots Guide books are a wealth of information and ideas. You can even just check the table of contents in these books to gain some more ideas for article topics.

Watch the News

Whether watching it on TV or keeping up with it online, the news always has new topics for you to look into. You can find out about product recalls, new trends, etc. If it's something that the media is focusing on at the moment, chances are people are going to be seeking more information about it online.

You can get inspiration anywhere; you just have to keep your eyes, and your mind, open to all the possibilities. You may find yourself in a writing slump or maybe you don't have the time to spend brainstorming new topics. Doing some research can help you find plenty of future article topics. If you don't have time to do your own research, or even to write up articles yourself, consider hiring an article marketing specialist who ghostwrites content for the web.
